Par Heating & Air Conditioning, a division of The Par Group, is a full service mechanical contractor servicing the New York Metro and New Jersey area. We provide commercial HVAC repair, installation and maintenance service to a variety of clients. We handle large and small projects, emergency HVAC services, and preventative maintenance agreements. By instituting a preventative maintenance plan for the buildings and facilities that we service, we can prolong equipment lifespan, lowering operating costs, and reduce the potential for expensive failures. We are constantly training our technicians to keep them proficient in all aspects of heating & air conditioning service, maintenance and diagnostics.
We work with design engineering firms, management companies and owner personnel to optimize the efficiency of their equipment. Our customers include Madison Square Garden, Lefrak Properties, CB Richard Ellis, Douglas Elliman, Beacon Theatre, CAES, ABM and One Medical.
A rooftop unit provides filtered, ventilated, heated/cooled, dehumidified air to the areas served. Rooftop units consist of a condenser fan and fan motor, cooling coil, compressor, an evaporator fan and fan motor, belts and air filters.
Scheduled maintenance service including air filter and belt replacement by Par’s factory trained Union technicians keeps these units operating as efficiently as possible with minimum downtime.
Package units, also known as Self-Contained Air Conditioning Units (SCAV), are indoor units that provide filtered, cooled/heated air to the areas served. Package units consist of a condenser fan and fan motor, cooling/heating coil, compressor, supply fan and fan motor, belts and air filters.
Scheduled maintenance service including air filter and belt replacement by Par’s factory trained Union technicians keeps these units operating as efficiently as possible with minimum downtime.
Split systems can be indoor or outdoor and consist of two units, an evaporator unit and a condensing unit, located separately and connected together with refrigeration piping and control wiring. Split systems consist of evaporator fans and fan motors, condenser fans and fan motors, cooling coils, air filters and belts.
Scheduled maintenance service including air filter and belt replacement by Par’s factory trained Union technicians keeps these units operating as efficiently as possible with minimum downtime.
Split ductless systems are split systems that do not use ductwork to distribute air flow but have individual evaporator units that distribute heated/cooled air without ductwork. Split ductless units are used in applications where ductwork cannot be used.
Split ductless systems consist of two units, an evaporator unit and a condensing unit, located separately and connected together with refrigeration piping and control wiring.
Chillers can be air cooled or water cooled and they provide chilled water for cooling and dehumidification. Chillers consist of a compressor, condenser, motor, pump, impeller and a control center.
Scheduled maintenance service to check the compressor, motors, pumps, condenser tubes and check and calibrate the chiller controls and safety devices by Par’s factory trained Union technicians keeps these units operating as efficiently as possible with minimum downtime.
“A cooling tower is a heat rejection device, which extracts waste heat to the atmosphere through the cooling of a water stream to a lower temperature.”-Cooling Technology Institute
An unclean cooling tower will cause reduced cooling capacity which can create health risks and deteriorate the reliability of the system. To avoid losing dependability of the cooling tower and overall cooling regular preventive maintenance should be performed.
The HVAC division of the Par Group provides service and maintenance for the mechanical equipment of the water tower including but not limited to motors, belts, and pumps.
View Local Law 77 for more information on cooling tower regulations.
A Variable Air Volume (VAV) System delivers a varying amount of air as required by the conditioned spaces, determined by space thermostats. VAV systems consist of ductwork, a VAV box with a damper and a space thermostat.
Scheduled maintenance includes checking the damper and thermostat for proper operation.
A supplemental HVAC unit is a small capacity unit that is installed when additional heating or cooling is needed either in a high occupancy area or in an area that needs to have consistent temperatures even when the building is not running HVAC such as a computer room. A supplemental HVAC unit works independently from the building’s heating and air conditioning system.
