Established in 1939, Guerlain created one of the first “Spas” in the world at 68, avenue des Champs-Elysées. Today the iconic Plaza Hotel houses Guerlain Spa at 768 5th Avenue in Manhattan.
PAR Heating and Air Conditioning, a division of The Par Group was retained by Guerlain Spa at The Plaza Hotel to provide equipment replacement and installation.
The team replaced one existing steam trap with one new steam trap. A steam trap is a device that releases condensates and non-condensable gases also known as NCG’s with an insignificant amount of consumption or loss of steam.
They also replaced one existing gate valve and one existing Hoffman vacuum breaker.
Upright sprinkler heads produce a semi-spherical water distribution pattern. Due to their pendant design, they are more visible than concealed sprinkler heads that sit flush to the ceiling.
